# Customers, devices and sessions

> Find a customer, check what they bought, and see who is online right now.

## Customers

Go to **Customers** to see everyone who has connected to your WiFi. Search by name, email, or phone, and filter with the tabs:

| Tab           | Shows                                                                 |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| All customers | Everyone, across every location. |
| Active | Customers with a plan running right now. |
| Expired | Customers whose plan has run out. These are your best resale targets. |
| No plan | People who connected but never bought. |

Select any customer to open their page. You see their total spent, their current plan, their devices, their payment history, and their recent sessions.

From a customer's page you can **Assign data plan** to grant access without recording a payment — see [Payments and revenue](/payments).

### Correcting contact details

Customers can open **Your profile → Edit profile** in the WiFi portal or their account page to change their name or WhatsApp phone number. They must enter their current password to save. The phone number must not already belong to another customer in your business; international numbers should start with `+` and the country code. The [WhatsApp assistant](/whatsapp) uses the saved number to find their account.

Customers cannot change their own email. A **manager, owner, or platform administrator** can open **Customers → select the customer → Edit customer details** to correct their name, WhatsApp phone number, or email address. Confirm the details with the customer before saving. Viewers and operators cannot make these changes. Phone numbers and email addresses must be unique within your business; phone formatting and email letter case do not make them different contacts.

Only fields you change are saved. If someone else changes one of those fields while your form is open, refresh the page and review their change before trying again. Name and phone corrections keep the customer's existing login working. The WhatsApp bot finds the customer using their updated phone number. All corrections are recorded in the audit log.

After an email correction, the customer signs in with the new address and their existing password. Old account sessions and emailed sign-in or reset links expire. Their plan, wallet, devices, and purchase history stay intact, and the change is recorded in the audit log.

## Devices

Go to **Devices** for every device your gateways have seen, across your network. A device is identified by its MAC address, which is how the gateway recognises a returning phone or laptop without asking the customer to log in again.

The number of devices allowed on one purchase is set per plan, in the **Devices** field. See [Set up your account](/account-setup).

## Sessions

Go to **Sessions** to see connections rather than customers. Use the tabs:

| Tab        | Shows                                                                                   |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Authorized | Customers with paid access, online now or earlier. |
| Pre-login | Devices connected to the WiFi but not yet paid — people looking at your captive portal. |
| All        | Both.                                                                                   |

<Note>
  Only authorized traffic counts toward a customer's data allowance. A device sitting on the captive portal without paying does not use up anyone's plan.
</Note>

A large **Pre-login** count next to a small **Authorized** count means people are seeing your payment page and not buying. Check your prices, and check that your payment provider is connected and working.
