Go to Settings → Email & messaging. Two independent connections live here, plus the WhatsApp assistant. Neither is required to start selling. Both change what you can send, and to how many people.

Email delivery

Without your own SMTP, essential emails still go out — welcome messages, receipts, password resets. What you cannot do is broadcast: announcements to your whole customer base need your own SMTP server, because the shared delivery service does not permit bulk sending. Connect any SMTP provider — Gmail Workspace, Zoho, Brevo, Amazon SES, or your web host’s mail server.
If your provider has two-factor authentication, your normal login password will not work. Generate an app-specific password instead — Gmail and Zoho both require this.
Use a From email on a domain you actually control, and one that matches the SMTP account. A mismatch is the usual reason mail lands in spam.

Termii notifications

Termii sends your SMS and WhatsApp notifications. There is no platform SMS fallback — without a Termii account connected, nothing you send by SMS reaches anyone. Choose the transactional route for receipts, reminders and alerts. It reaches phones with Do Not Disturb enabled, which most Nigerian numbers have on by default. A promotional route silently does not.
An unapproved Sender ID is rejected by Termii, not by WifiPadi. Register it in your Termii dashboard and wait for approval before relying on it.

What this unlocks

The Announcements page checks both before sending and tells you which channel is unavailable, rather than reporting success having reached nobody.

Testing

Send yourself an announcement to a single location before using either at scale.
  • Email that never arrives is nearly always the wrong port for the chosen security setting, or a From email that does not match the SMTP account.
  • SMS that never arrives is nearly always an unapproved Sender ID, or a promotional route being blocked by Do Not Disturb.
