The free trial
A new workspace gets 21 days free, starting the day you register. No card is needed to start. During the trial everything works and nothing is capped — run as many locations, gateways, devices and customers as you like. There is nothing to pay and no payment to choose while the trial runs. The Subscription page shows when it ends. You will get reminders 7, 3 and 1 day before it ends, unless you turn them off in Notifications. They list the ways you can pay, so you can decide ahead of time. After the trial: 3 days to choose
You can’t pay during the trial, so your WiFi doesn’t stop the moment it ends. You get 3 more days with everything still running to choose how to pay. The dashboard and the Subscription page show the date your gateways will pause, and we email you when the 3 days start and again on the last day. Those 3 days are free. A monthly period starts the day you pay, and pay-as-you-go starts the day you choose it.Two ways to pay
When the trial ends, the Subscription page leads with Choose how to pay. Pick one:
You can change your mind later — see Switching.
Gateways, access points, devices, customers, plans, vouchers and staff accounts are unlimited on both. A location is the only thing that is counted. One campus with six routers is one location.
Paying monthly
Your bill is:1
Choose your location slots
On the Subscription page, set Location slots to pay for. You cannot go below the number of locations you already have.
2
Choose a provider
Pick Paystack or Flutterwave under Pay with. This is our checkout, not yours — it is unrelated to the provider your own customers pay through.
3
Pay
You are taken to the provider’s checkout and returned to the dashboard. Your paid period extends by 30 days as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Location slots
Your slot count is how many locations you have paid to run. Once the trial ends, Add location is refused when you already have as many locations as you have paid slots. Buy another slot on the Subscription page and the location can be created. Nothing is deleted when your slot count is lower than your location count — existing locations keep running. The cap only applies to creating a new one.Pay-as-you-go
Available to workspaces in Nigeria. What it costs
Each location is charged ₦30 for every hour it is online during the month.- A location that ran at all that month costs at least ₦2,500.
- A location is never charged more than the monthly price (₦15,000), however long it ran.
- A location that was never online that month costs nothing.
- If you were on pay-as-you-go for only part of a month, the minimum and the most you can be charged are scaled down to those days.
What counts as online
A location is online while any of its routers is checking in with WifiPadi, so a site with several routers is counted once. A router is still counted for a few minutes after it goes quiet, so a switch-off shows up shortly after it happens. The simplest way to pay less is to switch routers off when you close. Before you choose, look at Pay-as-you-go preview further down the Subscription page. It shows, for each location, the hours online so far this month and what A full month at this pace would cost, next to your monthly price. It is marked Preview · not charged.
Choosing it
1
Choose pay-as-you-go
On the Subscription page, press Choose pay-as-you-go (or Switch to pay-as-you-go if you already pay monthly).
2
Confirm
The page tells you the first day you will be charged by the hour. Press Confirm switch, or Keep monthly to back out.
Invoices
On the 1st of each month you get an invoice for the month before. It appears in the invoice list on the Subscription page.- Your wallet pays first. If your WifiPadi wallet holds enough, the whole invoice is paid from it straight away and we email you to say so.
- Otherwise we email you the invoice. Pay it on the Subscription page — by checkout, or with Pay from wallet once your balance covers it. You have 7 days, and we remind you 2 days before it is due.
- If it is still unpaid after that, your gateways pause until it is paid. Pay it and they switch straight back on.
Invoice emails are service notices. They always send and cannot be switched off in Notifications.
Switching
- Monthly → pay-as-you-go: choose it on the Subscription page at any time. It starts the day after your paid monthly days run out.
- Pay-as-you-go → monthly: pay for a monthly plan on the Subscription page. Pay-as-you-go ends the day before, and that last part-month is on your next invoice as usual.
The wallet and auto-renew
The Subscription page has a WifiPadi wallet. It holds prepaid credit with us. You can top it up at any time, including during the trial.- Top up to park credit ahead of time. Referral rewards land here too — see Refer and earn.
- Pay from wallet settles a monthly renewal or a pay-as-you-go invoice from that credit instead of going to a checkout.
- Auto-renew is for monthly plans. With it on, we renew your monthly subscription from your wallet as your paid period nears its end. On pay-as-you-go you don’t need it: each invoice is taken from the wallet automatically when the balance covers it.
If your workspace is paused
Your workspace is suspended when:- 3 days pass after the trial ends and you have not chosen how to pay,
- a monthly paid period runs out with nothing to renew from, or
- a pay-as-you-go invoice is still unpaid 7 days after it was issued.
Choose how to pay, renew, or pay the overdue invoice on the Subscription page, and everything switches back on exactly as you left it. There is no re-setup and no re-provisioning of routers.
